Deccan Development Society is happy to declare the celebrations of 25th edition of its iconic ‘Annual Mobile Biodiversity Festival’!

The Mobile Biodiversity Festival, which is one of the longest running biocultural campaigns in Asia, is celebrating its 25th edition this year with the theme ‘Sustainable Agriculture with old crops’. The theme seeks to highlight push forward the agenda of local crops, women’s knowledge and food cultures in the raging discourse of ‘sustainable agriculture’ that is currently ongoing at national and regional policymaking circles. The caravan of bullock carts decorated with traditional seeds will tour nearly 400 kilometers in 26 villages for nearly one month and conclude at Pachasaale campus in Machnoor village, Jharasangham mandal on February 11th 2025 with a concluding ceremony.

The schedule and routemap for the Festival can be found here. Those who are interested in attending the festival can contact our Liason office to make arrangements.
